Tempe in 'gastro-diplomacy'

Tempe has been one of the most famous dish from Indonesia, and it could be much beneficial for the country's diplomacy.

Have you ever heard the term 'gastro-diplomacy'? It is basically a strategy on using food as a media of diplomacy. That is why tempe should be used in gastro-diplomacy as it could strenghten the bond between countries that Indonesia is interacting with. By tempe we can gain another country's public interest so that they know more about our country as a whole. By tempe, Indonesia can open many possibilities in the development and the investment of tempe itself which will lead to more job opportunities and solve unemployment in Indonesia. At the end of the day, by tempe we can actually raise Indonesia's economy by a significant number.

Even the doctors from all around the world have confirmed that tempe does contain a lot of protein, so it's pretty obvious why hospitals these days serve tempe for its patients. Tempe is also vegetarian friendly because it is fully made out from fermented soy beans, hence it is oftenly used by vegetarians as meat substitute. As for example in the US, a famous vegetarian restaurant serves tempe as a patty for a burger, and the taste is said to be very identical to the real thing.

So in conclusion, the dish that we always thought to be simple and traditional could make a big impact towards Indonesia's stance in the modern era of globalization.
